I have arrived!

Well I made it successfully to Tsnzania with Rhonda.  Our flights went with no issues thankfully.  It was packed flights and so many people traveling down here.  That has surprised me.  What is sad is that they really don't have updated airports here for the type of planes used so you get on and off from outside. They used 777 and 787 planes here.  It's probably expensive for them to improve on infrastructure here.

We were met with our two guides at the airport and I was glad to finally meet Jim Heck from EWT.  He was waiting here for us as well.  So glad we didn't have to worry about where we were going from this point.

We drove off for our first stay at Lake Duluti Serena Hotel.  What beautiful place.  We are staying in individual huts on the grounds.  The hotel is gated as well.  You know the drive out to here was interesting because there is only one paved road.  So you are often behind slow trucks and buses.  We kept waiting for a chance to over take a vehicle.  Talk about how dangerous this could be.
We also saw a lot of herds of goats, cows and donkeys.

So the hotel is very nice.  Great food and wonderful friendly service.

Our plan is to go to Arusha National Park.  It's overcast today but the hope is to see at least flamingos.  Hopefully by tomorrow we should see the sun.
